The Deer_Management_Units_for_Deer_Camp_Survey FeatureServer (services3.arcgis.com/Jdnp1TjADvSDxMAX/arcgis/rest/services/Deer_Management_Units_for_Deer_Camp_Survey/FeatureServer) contains only 23 DMU polygons — a survey project subset, not the complete statewide set. DNR Wildlife Management Units layer 7 has 4 regional admin polygons only. Complete official DMU shapefile (wildlife_management_unit_white-tailed_deer_current_polygons, v2022, lead: Marshall Strong, MDNR Wildlife Division) exists per DNR metadata documentation but is not confirmed on any public open-data download or FeatureServer endpoint. Official DMU boundaries are defined in the Michigan Wildlife Conservation Order (WCO) at michigan.gov/dnrlaws — this is the authoritative legal source. Do not ingest partial survey layer as complete DMU coverage.
