Unit Map / Units

GIS polygon layers render here when imported. Colorado now uses official CPW GMU boundaries; other states fall back to seeded unit cards until their KML/GeoJSON/shapefile layers are converted.

Format: ArcGIS REST FeatureServer (layer 29); GeoJSON (TFS); FGDB (TRQ)

Conversion: BLOCKED for full import — RDE MapServer layer 29 confirmed authoritative for QC numbered hunting zones 1-29, but REST query is capped at ~20 of 43 features. To import: (1) request full feature export via ArcGIS Server admin export operation, (2) download the MFFP FGDB from diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca and filter for 'Zone de chasse et pêche' polygons, or (3) use TFS GeoJSON as supplementary reference (different zone classification). Do not fabricate boundaries. 28 zones confirmed (zone 25 excluded). PDF maps at quebec.ca remain authoritative. The TRQ 100k FGDB has 17 layers (ZEC=86, wildlife reserves, etc.) but does not contain the numbered zone polygons.

License/source notes: Official MFFP/Québec government ArcGIS service. TFS GeoJSON and TRQ FGDB (17 layers, updated Oct 2025) available from diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca under official open data terms. 'Couche des territoires récréatifs du Québec' (TRQ) also on MERN GeoHub.
