Format: ArcGIS REST FeatureServer
Conversion: CONFIRMED polygon layer exists and is live. However, RI deer management zones may be administrative/special-permit-area designations rather than substantive regulatory units. Import as special-permit-hunt-areas only if zones actually vary bag limits or seasons. Recommend clarification before importing. Also available: layer 7 (Hunting Map Download), layers 9-10 (waterfowl), layer 12+ (trails/recreation) — not relevant for general hunt units.
License/source notes: Official RIDEM/RIGIS FeatureServer via risegis.ri.gov; verified live layer 11 (Hunting - Deer Management Zone) with 40+ polygon OIDs on 2026-05-12. Regulatory status of these zones (i.e., whether they define substantive bag limit/season variation vs. administrative area designations) is unconfirmed.
